Hello. I always look forward to your articles.

In the photo, he looks like he's just enjoying a picnic by himself. As a Japanese person, I can't see any spirituality in it.

To be honest, the final scene of "The Last Samurai" made me laugh while watching it. I wonder if Hollywood still doesn't understand what Japanese people are. Are there people who kneel on the ground on the battlefield?

As for Yukio Mishima, he was a short boy who was raised like a girl by his grandmother, but in order to hide his feelings of physical inferiority, he clung to old Japanese gender ideas so tightly that he could no longer stop. It looks like he committed suicide.

I read your other articles with interest. Actually, it's my favorite Medium account. Although you are married to a Japanese person and are deeply involved in Japanese society, I feel that your point of view is different from that of Japanese people (I'm not criticizing you, please don't get angry).

For example, you are a photographer who came to Japan from the United States, and when I, a Japanese photographer, and I were walking in Ginza, you were a "mama'' wearing a kimono who was going to work at "kurabu.'' However, as a Japanese photographer, I never point my camera at them.

I look forward to hearing your impressions of Japan.
