Japanese here. This article is largely correct, but you don't seem to fundamentally understand 21st century manufacturing. It doesn't really matter what brand the smartphone is sold under. Even if you remove the Samsung name from the Galaxy, it's still Samsung. And Samsung's Japanese subsidiary (Samsung Electronics Japan) has been in Japan for over 30 years, and they hired former Toshiba engineers and started producing NAND flash memory, which was not appreciated by Toshiba. is the driving force behind Samsung's rise. In other words, in the 21st century, it is not a big problem to know in which country the headquarters of a company developing global business is located.

Sony? Even if Sony doesn't make mobile phones, it does make the iPhone's camera unit. Sharp is one of the suppliers of iPhone LCD panels. No matter what brand a smartphone is sold under, if you look at each part, you will understand how much of it is the result of production by a multinational company. Moreover, the ratio of ``in which country'' the parts are made remains the same regardless of the brand.

So, in conclusion, "Samsung has not expanded into Japan" is incorrect.
